Scope and Contents This collection contains photocopies of Adonijah P. Hulings's 1863 pocket diary. A note he entered at the beginning of the diary states that he purchased it on December 17, 1862 in Memphis, Tennessee during the time he was serving with the 69th Indiana Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He began his December 1862 entries in the memoranda section and then filled out the daily entries throughout 1863. Alexander Lydy biographical sketch

Scope and Contents This collection contains a one-page typewritten biographical sketch of Alexander Lydy written by his granddaughter, Dorothy Schroeder, circa 1966. Besides basic biographical information, Schroeder mentions some of the battles that Lydy was involved in while serving in the Union army during the Civil War and his experience with the "Providence Spring" at Andersonville Prison in Georgia.

Amory K. Allen letters

Scope and Contents This collections contains letters (copy) written by Amory K. Allen to his wife during the Civil War. They were photo statically copied in 1935 by the Indiana State Library and were published in the Indiana Magazine of History in December of that same year. Scope and Contents This collection includes a copy of the published narrative poem "A War Ballad" by Andrew C. Ranard. The undated poem is 19 stanzas and relates the events of the Battle of Resaca during the U.S. Civil War. It should be noted that Ranard's name is spelled Rinard in the citation at the end of the poem: "This is the ballad of A.C. Rinard, Co. I, 22nd Regt. Ind Vet. Vols."

Johnson's diaries, ranging form 1862 to 1865, transcribed by Ralph W. and Inez Jones Johnson from Greenwood, Indiana in 1961.
